7 reasons why you should prep

Life Planning

Prepping not only allows you and your community to plan for years in the future, but also the months and weeks ahead. Prepping allows you to assess your long and short term life plan to ensure that plan is successfully maintained and achieved. An effective plan isn’t a product of complacency, rather it is regularly evaluated, updated, and finalized!

Building Healthy Relationships

Preppers play a very important role in their community. They have a wide variety of skills and knowledge along with being self reliant. Passing these skills and attributes onto other members of your community so they may do the same unto others is crucial to strengthening your community. Building those long lasting relationships and forming those bonds will prove beneficial for your entire community!

Independence

Self reliance is one of the most important values we can instill within ourselves, in whatever capacity we can. We should always strive to be independent of the system and do more for ourselves and our communities. Growing/raising our own food, seeking medical training, learning general trades, etc. are a few ways we can do this. Our goals as preppers is to do our best to perpetuate normalcy for our loved ones during hard times.

Minimizing Life’s Challenges

One of the primary reasons we prep is to minimize the effects hardships have on us and our loved ones. This includes but isn’t limited to natural disasters, man-made disasters, personal hardships, financial troubles, social unrest, health crisis, and much more. If we properly prepare for these unfortunate yet everyday occurring life events, we can secure the future for our loved ones and our communities!

Building Community

Building and strengthening communities is one of the most effective things we as preppers can do for one another. Creating those social connections and having that sense of belonging with one another is a vital component to combatting uncertainty and hardship. The ability for us to rely on one another for support and guidance will maintain morale and keep those healthy relationships we formed growing even more!

Become the Solution

Regardless of who you are or where you’re located, you’ll likely find yourself facing life’s inevitable challenges. When these challenges arise we need to be ready for them as individuals. Doing our best to resolve the issues we face as individuals will leave a positive and lasting effect within our communities. If we can all be the solution as individuals, imagine what we can do together!

Prepping is Biblical

In addition to being an efficient safeguard to our future, prepping is also biblical. This is the core reason we do what we do at Sanctified Survival. We can look in Scripture where prepping has been referenced a plethora of times:

Genesis 6:21, Genesis 41:36, Proverbs 13:16, Proverbs 21:20, Ecclesiastes 11:2, 1 Timothy 5:8
